It is soluble in benzene, toluene, alcohol, acetone, carbon tetrachloride, ethyl acetate and gasoline. Insoluble in water or dilute aqueous soda.
This product can be used as antioxidant for various petroleum products. Its solubility in oil is good, it doesn't have influence on the color of oil , widely used for rubber processing to increase the stability.
